Note 8 Gear S3 Samsung pay issue

Picked up a GS3 frontier today Verizon and can't download the Samsung pay plugin. But paired it with my S8 and it works. Is the Note 8 not supported? Really disappointed if it's not yet!

I have both Gear S3 and the Note 8 I use Samsung pay on my phone all the time. My Gear S3 has Samsung Pay on it but I've never set it up as I'd have to call my bank again and go through all that crap again. I honestly can't remember having to download Samsung Pay to the watch. Oh yeah, FWIW I don't have the 4g Gear S3 only the WiFi variant so ymmv...

I never had to call any bank to use Samsung pay with my ATM card or credit cards. Why did you?

I had to call Visa for both my S7 and Gear S3.

It's a bank policy, nothing to do with Samsung. I just assumed that any bank would want you to call to verify your information rather than just allowing one of their cards to be randomly "switched on" to be used by an software based transaction method.

I use my frontier for Samsung pay exclusively, never bother to use the phone. It's just so much faster and cooler looking lol. During setup of the watch the phone prompted me to install pay, it was pretty painless.

I did have to call on one of my cards awhile back, their site was having issues authenticating online.

ok thanks for the info. I did find a fix, I had to set up my gear S2 again to my N8 then for some reason it let me install the Samsung pay gear plugin. after that I switched to my gear S3 and it let me install Samsung pay to my watch. Strange that it happened that way.
