Note 8 is Capitalizing every word when texting

Can someone help with this? I had an update last night/early morning and since then my Note 8 is capitalizing every word when texting. It's driving me mad.
Any thoughts?? Let me offer that I am not at all tech savvy, so I need someone that might be able to explain as if to a 5 year old although the 5 year old is likely to have more knowledge than this old granny lol

Welcome to Android Central! First, go to the Settings>Apps menu and select the keyboard app. Then tap Storage, and Clear Cache. Does the problem persist?

If that doesn't work, then you could try wiping the cache partition, which can be helpful after system updates. No personal data will be lost. Follow the steps here: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-36229

Try switching to another keyboard to see if that helps

Are you using the regular keyboard that came with the phone? If so:

Settings
Apps
-click on the 3 dots in the top right
-then choose Show System Apps
Go down the list to Input Devices
-then storage - clear cache and clear data.

You can also then do the wipe cache and someone showed that link for instructions earlier.

On the remote chance, is the caps lock key somehow enabled?

B. Diddy, thank you for the warm welcome and the clear efforts to help me with this mess I have. You'd think when this kind of cash is spent, the item purchased wouldn't give one such trouble. It's not a critical issue, but is certainly very annoying. I wish I could say one of your suggestions straightened out my mess but I did try both, but to no avail.

I went through your suggested steps and the other steps to wipe the cache but...nope.

I greatly appreciate your posting the suggestions!!! Without people like yourself and these other great folks, what would we do!? Nice people really DO still exist!

So I took someones suggestion and downloaded G Board and it's WAY better than the Samsung keyboard in EVERY way! Get Google's G Board

I tried clearing the data and cache, none of that worked. I finally got an update to the samsung keyboard this morning to version 2.1.03.23. It is now fixed and working great so far.

I tried every "fix" above - Mkgraddy's is the only one that worked! Thank you!!! I was getting way too annoyed with the caps!
