Note 8 move photo albums from internal to sd card

My note 8 needs to be wiped for a repair so need to move albums. I can move files which then have to be put into an album but not move the album itself.

My note 8 needs to be wiped for a repair so need to move albums. I can move files which then have to be put into an album but not move the album itself.

What about sharing one album at a time. So, go into the album, hit the 3 dots top right of the screen, select share, mark each photo and share to one of the choices there.

Alternately, do you sync your photos with Samsung cloud? Because you could download onto your sd card.

Or, what about connecting your phone to your pc, and moving the photo albums from your phone to your sd card.

What is the exact wording of the error message you are getting?

"Albums" are normally just folders on the file system.
Using your favorite file browser app, like "my files":
- copy (not move) the folders containing the photos to the SD card
- restart the phone to flush the buffers and restart the indexing service
- verify that the copy correctly happened
