Note 8 Records NYC From Helicopter

The first one was unusually clear. Almost DSLR -like, I wonder if the shooter did any post-processing.
The second video is a bit hazy and looks more realistic as far as expectations are concerned.

I don't care what side of the aisle you're on - Apple, Samsung, LG, Sony, HTC, Hawaei, whatever - the fact we can all carry something in the palms of our hands that can do this never ceases to amaze me. I was a teen in the 80's and a 20-something in the 90s, lugging around giant VHS cameras and smaller, but still much larger than a phone, Super-8 cams whenever I wanted to capture video memories. Now, I just slide a bar of glass and metal out of my pocket to produce even better results than those cameras ever gave me. Wonderful times indeed.

I'm swayed... I may have to consider buying a helicopter to go along with my Note 8.

He had a zoom lens on the camera and didn't add a haze filter to it in that lighting condition? Talk about sending a boy to do a man's job - the haze ruined the effect of half the shots. (Having shot miles of film [yes, we used to use 5284 film by the hundred foot roll at the smallest] over NYC over the years, about the only thing that made any impression on me is that the river seems to have gotten a higher percentage of water and a lower percentage of of pollution than I'm used to. Picture quality? About what I've shot on cheap SLRs when I was just testing for flare and high-light ability [5284 is fairly sensitive film].)
