note 8 security patch with some extras

My tmobile note 8 updated last night wit the aug security patch now i have a QR scanner n my drop down toggles menu when I plug my phone in to charger i get the spinning circle with percentage inside like the note 10 and I used AA today and when I connected the plug to the phone my Darkmode (which I always leave on) de-toggled....I'm assuming because it was day time outside.
But I didnt hear or see any news of these features coming also it was just supposed to be a Security PATCH.

I'm on T-Mobile also and the security patch was larger than normal. Usually they are around 150 MB. This one was over 400 MB (I forgot how many but it may have been more)

Mine does the same now.....I have to keep manually switching back to night mode (which I would rather have on at all times)
