Hello
I bought a Note 8 in the U.S, the model is SM-N950F/DS and it's an international unlocked version. When I got back home (Brazil) I noticed the samsung pay wasn't working. Actually when I open the app it leads me to Taiwan's samsung pay and it do not register my credit card. I was looking on the internet and I found out that samsung pay has kind of region lock and I would have to install the brazilian ROM to get it working.
I looked at sammobile and I found a brazilian ROM.
The weird part is that it says "SM-N950F" but the official note 8 in Brazil is the "SM-N950FD" because it's the dual-sim version.
My question is: if I install this ROM in my Note 8 to get samsung pay working will I have any trouble?
Another question: Is there any difference between SM-N950FD and SM-N950F/DS?

Thank you very much

Samsung Pay will load the region the device was intended to be sold in. If you got an International Unlocked version sold in Taiwan, it'll have the TW Samsung Pay and will not work with other regions (for SP, not so much for service).

Problem with installing a new ROM is that, even if the internals are the same and you can use it without breaking the phone, SP does have a bunch of security features that check for whether or not the phone has been rooted or flashed, and if it detects any tampering, it will not work.

I had be the T-Mobile US version and I uploaded the unlocked firmware. Samsung Pay still works fine on my phone.

I'd ask you to give it a try. If it works have you samong pay, else you lose nothing.
