Note 8 Stops charging at 95%

My new Note 8 stops charging at 95%. I go to bed and put it on my last years Samsung wireless quick charger (the black one that stands up). And in the morning it is at 95% and not charging. I tip it up and set it back on and it finishes charging to 100% with no problem.

It's in a Tech 21 Evo Check light weight case. Anyone else having this problem? Or have any idea why it might be doing this? The only thing I can think of is it's getting hot while it's charging and turning off. I have not tried directly plugging it in to charge it yet. The Carrier is Verizon. I did not have this problem with my Galaxy S7 on the same charger.

Any help or ideas will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

It most likely is charging to 100, then once there the charge stops and that's what you see left in the morning. I personally don't leave anything on chargers overnight.

Hmmm indeed perhaps try charging it the three alternative ways. 1 on original cable 2 perhaps updated wireless fast charger and 3 without a case to see if it makes a difference. Then you'll know if you actually have a problem or not.

Haven't seen that issue yet. I am using the same wireless charger as you and its always at 100. Same with using other chargers.

I experience similar issue sometimes with my Note 4 if using older non-fast chargers

I've never had that issue. I did have problems with two oem batteries though. switched to an Anker battery and no more issues for now.

I should have added that I'm sure it's battery/charger combination and not my Note 4 being temperamental as it is still going strong
