Note 8 touchscreen sensitivity

I purchased my Note 8 in November 2017, and now when entering text I must push unusually hard to enter the letters and numbers. I already adjusted the screen sensitivity to 1 (it's lowest setting), and have tried the reboot, and it still only picks up every other letter. This is highly frustrating for a 4 month old, quite expensive phone. I am looking for a fix to this.

Are you using any screen protector? Those can affect the screen sensitivity. Also, the only setting (that I know of) for screen sensitivity on the Note is for the home button (and it's more for a 'hard press' than for true screen sensitivity), and you seem to have issues with the keyboard area. Do you notice diminished sensitivity in other areas of the screen or just the keyboard? Is your S-Pen working properly?

Spookdroid- thanks for your response. I am not using any screen protector, and with the S-pen everything functions perfectly fine. Without it the entire screen has sensitivity issues. (Ex.- if attempting to zoom in using maps it requires several attempts to complete). The most frustrating is entering text- to use the S-pen for that every time is quite inconvenient.

Sounds like your screen might have detached from the glass or it got some other issue there and might need replacing. But first, try booting up your phone in safe mode... If the sensitivity issue persists there, it's a hardware problem. If it's not there, then it's an app you installed that's causing some conflict
