Note 9 Hotspot

Well with this work from home going on.
And the wife and me getting free gb of data to use.

When the internet going on the blink.
We found out when we use her note 9
And turn hot spot on.
It says look for a S6 modem link to connect to.
And that's what it shows on wifi.

Guess that means Samsung stuck the modem for a S6 in her phone.

In my note 10+ .
It brings up a note 10 + link to connect to.

Nothing I can do.
But I don't like paying for something and getting old Hdw.

Did she ever own an S6? If she restored from her S6 to Note 9 then the hot spot settings may have migrated as well. I doubt very much you have bought old hardware.

Before the note 9, she had a S8+

The phone before that was a S7E.

Just rename the hotspot
