Note 9 Sound Quality with WIRED Headphones and In-Ear Monitors

I'm just curious if any of the people who have gotten early access to the Note 9 have had an opportunity to evaluate the sound quality of the device with wired headsets. Specifically interested in comparisons to the LG V series devices. I have a V20 and the sound quality with wired headsets is excellent. Interested in how the Note 9 compares.

Headset quality varies more than phone audio quality, so everyone please list the make and model headset used.

FWIW, Note 8 did not sound as good as my Onkyo DAP (which uses ESS Sabre DACs and amps) did with my B&W P9 headphones. I was using both devices in single-ended mode (not balanced, which the Onkyo supports). Never auditioned the LG DAC, though.

S9+ is fantastic with wired, so expect same with N9.
