I switched from note 9 to mate 20 pro. I love the note but the mate is an absolute beast of a phone, probably best phone I have ever owned. No regrets whatsoever

Same here! Been on the note 9 since launch and just got the mate 20 pro a few days ago. Everything's better on the mate, from the battery to how it feels in hand to how responsive it is. Last charge cycle I used it for 34 hours and got 9.5 hours screen on time! I never got more than 6 hours screen on time in 9 hours usage on the note 9.

I came from a Note8, can you imagine thr huge leap I took in battery when I got the Mate 20 Pro!?

I have happily embraced this awesome battery life over the SPen.

Waiting to see what the Note10 and Mate 30 Pro bring this year, but Huawei really have just been knocking the Battery Life out the park with the Mate series.

Early last year I had the Mate 10 Pro along side my Note8, and even that was just leaps and bounds ahead of any Samsung battery wise.

3 days of use loving the phone soo far super fast... Perfect size... Battery life is killer... Will report more on the phone.... Thou I am still on Oct patch... No update here in India... Adjusted the display to cooler tone... Haven't tested the camera much...

Have the same colour the twilight one is gorgeous in person, even better looking than the twilight colour on the P20 Pro.

I still have both (and a 3XL) but the Note is on fleabay right now.

For the Mate

- The Mate nails the in-hand feel and as someone else said is a great size. The Note still feels nice but the sPen rattle ruins it a bit (not massive but does bug me) and the size makes it less manageable. The Mate feels like a halfway house size wise between the S9 and S9+ even though it only slightly smaller than the latter.

- Battery is epic
- Face unlock is super quick to the point that I rarely have to use the FPS
- Camera is slightly better
- Despite EMUI it does feel zippier in day to day use
- I love the Twilight colour

For the Note

- It has a proper always on display
- The Samsung does feel more polished even more so now that OneUi has landed. The Mate still does not play nicely with 3rd party launchers, this has apparently been fixed in 183 but I am still on 153
- Traditional FPS > in screen FPS
