I just traded my i5 for the Note 2...its an amazing device and the battery is great but not the day to day in a half amazing battery that I was expecting. It last pretty good but a lot less than expected. Could this be because of 4.3? I will add screenshots of my battery throughout the day with as little use as possible. But here's where I am: Its been 7h 33m 2s and I'm at 33% with some text but thats it. Any opinions? Thanks in advance!

It could be because of your signal.

Agree with Golfdriver. Depending on signal and any app syncing or location reporting your battery could take a big hit

So you have only used 28% of your battery? This is pretty consistent for what I get on my Note 2.

Been using my Nexus today. I was on the phone (Nexus) with an old friend when I used the Moto to take the screenshots for the OP.

I'm at 43% left after 1d 11h 8m
Since the update 4.3 and the update of the apps, the battery is a lot better. Getting now 2 whole days of use, with juice left.
Over night is has now 4-5% drain, instead of 8-9%

My battery seems better since updates. When I need it to last, I switch off unused features such as wifi and gps. Otherwise it expends power looking for wifi signals even when I don't need them.

I've also invested in a couple of spare batteries and a charger (not something you can do with an iPhone). It means being able to have a full battery to slip in if needed.
