Anybody know a good way to get rid of it. I don't want a case and can't stand the glossy feel. Or anybody seen a matte replacement cover, non-metal?

If you're talking about just the battery cover, I'm sure you could fine sand it down if you wanted to. Or check ebay/amazon for possible battery covers that have a matte finish.
