Note5 not recognizing and computer through USB.

I have a Sprint Note 5 and recently I've noticed that plugging the device into a USB port on the computer doesn't do anything on the phone. No option to change the type of connection without going to Developer. Connected to the PC the phone says its just charging. Windows does not see this device nor does it play the device discovery tony when inserted to USB. Any ides on the cause or do I need to bring it for repair? I've also noticed lately that I'm hearing glitches (stutters and digital errors) when playing audio from any file or streaming.
