We all know one of the main advantages of the Note8 over the S8 Range is the 6GB RAM (vs. 4GB RAM in S8/8+), but have you ever wondered how much of a difference that extra 2GB makes? Well the video below answers that for us heavy multitaskers.

Spoiler alert, the Note8 obliterates the S8 by a huge margin 😁

Nice. Apps reloading was always a big problem for any iPhone I have ever had BUT I rarely ever had that problem on any Samsung phone because of the increased RAM.

I do have both the S8+ and the Note 8 and in my daily use, I've only had a few apps reload after time. i've only had the Note 8 since Friday morning and after watching this, I doubt that I will have that problem often.

Nice! The "Note 8 is just a S8 with a pen" folks aren't going to like this.....

And those of us that multitask and use the Note 8 this way, can attest how well it handles everything thrown at it, and them some

Such different devices. Maybe hardware is similar but in use I would not compare the two but maybe I'm biased because I use the s pen all the time and i am reallky enjoying the cameras as well. The 2 x optical is 2 x closer than I can get with my feet which is my regular zoom as I don't do digital zoom (may as well crop and recompute result in Photoshop).
S8 a great phone though as my girlfriend has this now with a great purple silck silicone case (samsung)

My thoughts exactly! 😂😁

The difference that extra 2GB RAM makes puts the Note8 in a whole other league! This ain't some S8+ with an SPen, it is a whole other beast from Samsung.

It would be interesting to one multitasking comparison between Note8 and OnePlus5 with 8Gb of RAM

I have commented on the video and asked the reviewer to compare it to OnePlus5 128GB and LG V30.

I don't have the capability to record a video since the S8 Plus and Note 8 are my only 2 phones and these are what I'm testing with. The only difference is the S8 Plus I used has the Ezynos CPU. The results are different the S8 Plus initially opens apps noticeably faster and shows no degradation in performance till 16 apps are open simultaneously which can be attributed to the difference in RAM quantity. Can say this the Note 8 has one very bright screen.

I know this really does not relate to the original topic but I went to local best buy store to take a look at note8. Beautiful phone. The screen is gorgeous. Hands down the best looking android phone on the market. But o boy I would shoot myself If I dropped it on the floor. This phone looks very fragile with all that glass in the front. It is big but not that much bigger than my BlackBerry KEYone. It is same width just taller. Nice device indeed. This is type of phone that can compete with iPhone. The stylus is nice to have but after playing with it for few minutes I came to conclusion that I would not find much use for it. I think I prefer phone like my KEYone that is build like a tank. But I can see why Samsung S8 is appealing to mass market. I would take it anytime over iPhone.
