Note9 beeped and then turned off. Won't come back on. Is it dead?

Hi all,

Yesterday I was watching a vid on Instagram...when all of a sudden my Note9 BEEPED for about 1-2 seconds and turned off. It will not turn on or even indicate its taking a charge. I tried all the typical fixes (i.e. hold power and volume buttons down...and so on) but to no avail.

Does anyone know WTH is going on with it? I'd hate to give up on such a great phone. First time in two years I've had any issues.

NOTE: I've done the following to try and fix:

- Hold down volume up and power buttons for at least 10-20 seconds: RESULT: nothing

- Hold down volume down and power buttons for at least 10-20 seconds: RESULT: nothing

- Hold down volume up and Bixby buttons for at least 10-20 seconds: RESULT: nothing

- charged phone for over 6 hours and tried the above steps again: RESULT: nothing

Thx

First things first, plug it in to a known good charger and leaver it alone for at least an hour. Good luck

Welcome to Android Central! Sorry, but that sounds bad.:-\ Let it charge on a wall outlet for 24 hrs undisturbed, and then try powering on by pressing and holding Power for 30 seconds. If nothing happens, the battery or motherboard may have failed. You'd have to bring it to a repair shop to figure out which.

You have a virus. Contact samsung with someone else's phone. They will fix. Load only what you need. Research everything you load. Trust samsung only, and switch to cricket. You'll be happy and save a bunch of money too.

Welcome to AC!
You can tell it's a virus without having a phone in your hand ? Bad battery, mother board, screen couldn't cause that ?

Welcome to Android Central! What makes you say this is a virus? That's an awfully big leap in logic. It sounds much more like simple hardware failure.
