Noticed something kind of cool about the express me panels

I just noticed something about the express me panels (the little edge screen things that you can set to display on the lock screen.)

Maybe others have already noticed this, but I haven't since I usually just keep mine set to a "blank" panel (which makes your wallpaper just wrap around the edge with a little gray shading on it.)

If you set the express me panel to a certain image from the gallery that is wider than the panel, and then you also choose one of the "effects" to go on top of it (diamonds, triangles, grid, or glass), then when your phone is sitting on the lock screen, the image kind of slides back and forth on the edge screen as you tilt the phone from side to side. It's hard to really describe, so just try it.

It's kind of cool, but it only seems to work if you use your own image that's wider than the screen, and then also put one of the effects on it. Seems like maybe it's a bug that it doesn't work without using an effect, but it's neat anyway.

Yes it's definitely intentional. I learned about that feature on this video that I watched. I'm still finding little things out about this phone here and there.

I can't get the scrolling to work either... both scroll and fade options are grayed out?

You have to add the text first. Then go to the options of either scrolling or fading
