Noticing microscratches on my G6 power button/fingerprint reader already...

Wondering how durable the power button is....just noticed a few microscratches on it when looking at a certain angle with light..

What material is the G6 fingerprint scanner made of? The V20 has a nice matte plastic material and it did not scratch yet.

I think there are two different materials for the black FPS and the platinum FPS on the G6. The black tends to scratch easier than the platinum, it seems.

I can't find any plastic on my G6 fingerprint scanner. I expected the camera to have protective plastic but can't find that either. The fingerprint scanner doesn't have any scratches but the cameras definitely have multiple light scratches... not from use. Has anyone removed plastic from the cameras? Am I missing something?

I dont see any plastic on the camera either but mine is scratched to hell and back. Im exchanging it for a new one and going to have to find something to protect the glass. This has been the issue with Gorilla Glass 5 since it came out. Its durable against breaks but it scratches extremely easy.

I've had mine for about 4 days with no case and pocket carry it. No scratches yet. I got the silver version from AT&T and there was no protective film on the back, camera or fps.

I think its more worrying about strength over scratch resistance. With curved displays you have to be more impact resistant and sacrifice the scratch resistance.

Yeah I agree the curve design is beautiful but irks me.

Mine was from Verizon and it had plastic on the power button/fingerprint reader. It was easy to see and remove.

It really doesn't look like there is any plastic on the power button. I did see Flossy's video and that seemed to have been either an unlocked model or T-mobile.

Did anyone who purchased the Verizon version in black notice any plastic on the power button?

Flossy stated he got it from US Cellular.
