Notification bar and red badges

Hello

Im new in the android world after many years in ios world.

So far so good, but I have a issue i need help too sovle from some exsperts in android

Is it possible to only use red badges on icon as notification without the status bar at the top? I want notification, but not satusbar randomly popp-up with info.

I also have some issue that some apps dont show red badges and other do.
Exsample: mail, ebay and another app dont show the red badges but many other does, anoying.

It's up to the developer of each app to include support for the badges in their app. As far as I know, there is not a way to hide the notification in the status bar while retaining the red badges. Samsung might do things differently, but most launchers are providing the badges as a reflection of the existence of the notification in the notification panel, which is what drives the notification in the status bar.

You can turn off the popups using system ui tuner, but to have badges on all apps you need to get a launcher that supports universal badges.

I dont like to show info in the statusbar i dont can controll, but i guess this is one of the small issue i need to live with. After all, very happy with samsung and android
