notification bar since 4.3 update

For some reason since I've gotten the update, I've had to problems with the notifications bar. One my music player keeps popping up every 10 to 15 min. . It doesn't matter if I've been playing music or not. I've tried different batteries, updating my network, but nothing works. It keeps coming back.
The next problem is that when I pull my notification bar down from the lockscreen and try to open any notification, it doesn't take me to that page anymore. The screen stays on the lockscreen till it goes dark again. Please help me with these issues if possible.

I've been having the same Notification issue (when the device is locked) but only with the Facebook app. I'm on a Note 3, which is also 4.3

I see a factory reset in your future. Something must have gotten corrupted during the ota. Factory resets are a pain, but they will usually fix problems after upgrades
