Notification bar switches

Does anyone know how to change what switches are available in the notification bar?

I don't believe it's possible. I've never seen/heard of it being done before.

I find that very interesting cause my gf has the captivate and she has different switches in the notification bar, i wonder if that was changed by the carriers or Samsung made the call on them

You would be correct. There are minor differences in the TouchWiz interface throughout the Galaxy S line.

Right. They're different from carrier to carrier, but not customizable.
