are we suppose to get a notification icon or notice when someone leaves a voicemail on ur droidx cuz i cant seem to get a notification on the top bar

Yes, you should see the voice mail icon there.

Yes. You should also get notifications for email, texts, app updates/downloads, weather alerts (if you authorize that in the app's settings) and the ability to end a call in progress, like if you accidentally dial a wrong number.

The missed phone call icon is a green phone with a bent arrow. Check settings when you have the the phone on the screen. The voice mail icon is the two little circles connected by a line across the top.
