Notification Bars in ROM Manager Question

I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience with the downloading and installing of the Notification Bars in ROM Manager. I have heard that it can cause a boot loop issue, and don't really want to worry about that just to change the bar from white to black and a few changes in the icons.

I'm running SkyRaider 2.5.2 Vanilla.

Not a problem. I've been using the white notification bar with number battery. It's really cool

When I was running Skyraider I had no problem with the Black Menu bar.
