Hey guys, I just picked up a Bionic on Saturday. So far so good and the phone lasted over 24 hours on 3G with light use. I'm fairly impressed.

I do have two minor complaints though.
  1. On my OG Droid the Google Talk notification icon was a "chat bubble" with the word talk inside of it. My Google Talk icon on the Bionic is different. Is there anyway to change that back?
  2. When I select a contact (from contact list or anywhere else) the context menu pops up where I can choose to call, text, email, and navigate using VZ navigator. Is there anyway to change the VZ navigator to Google Nav?

Cheers!

Wait - when I bring up a contact, I don't get the option to navigate, at all. Is this only if VZ Navigator pos is paid for / activated?

For #2 I just went into a contact and tapped their address. you receive a pop up asking which app you want to use (Google Maps or VZNavigator). I chose Google Maps and then checked the box to use it every time. Now when I tap the contact in the quick contacts widget I have a Google Maps icon there instead of the VZNavigator.

You need to have an address entered for the contact for it to ask you if you want to navigate.

ah. duh, that makes sense. OP - I just tested this out - when I clicked on view home address, I got a popup saying "complete action using" Maps (Google) or VZ Navigator - and you can make Google Maps your default. Do you have Google Maps on your device? If not this may be why you don't get the choice of navigation.

Thanks man. I would prefer if I could just go straight to Nav without having to go through maps but this is infinitely better than having VZ Navigator.
