Re: Notification LED is pathetic....is it possible to make bright
Sorry, you will have to get used to that coming from BB. That "crack" from crackberry (the notification light) is totally different. However, the LED light on the bionic isn't the worst. At least it's fairly visible if you have a message. I had the thunderbolt for awhile and the LED is behind the speaker grill so it wasn't really visible unless you were looking at the phone head on.
I would not go with NoLED if I were you - extra use of the battery aside, NoLED works well on a SAMOLED screen, but I didn't find it nearly as satisfying on a different screen. On the droid charge, for example, NoLED works great because the screen displays the shade black very deeply. It is hard to tell where the bezel ends and the screen begins it is so dark. When you get a notification NoLED works well on that phone because just the part of the screen where the notification icon flashes appears to light up and the rest appears to stay "off". That is not the way it looks on other screens in my experience. On the thunderbolt it was obvious that the whole screen was turning on and off to flash the notification because even though the majority was black, you could tell it was being illuminated.
