When my phone updated to GB it was pretty awesome because everything was so much faster.. but the notification light keeps blinking even thought there are no messages.

I tried a battery pull (you can tell I used to be a Black berry user) and it still does it.

anyone else have this problem?

Yes, right after a reboot. Eventually it stops on it's own after a few minutes (unless of course an actual message comes in during that time).

Pull the notification area all the way down, then back up. This clears the light for me.

It seems to be an unacknowledged notification flag that is erroneously set at boot. Opening the notification area clears the flag because that's how you acknowledge notifications. I can't confirm this is the source of the bug, but it makes sense and the fix works for me consistently.

Mascotea: Unfortunately, it doesn't go away on it's own. I've had mine blink overnight or longer if I leave it alone. The alert is designed to run forever until you check your notifications. I'm sure you slide open your notification area after a few minutes, especially when an "actual" message arrives.

That statement is not exactly true. If I get an email to my Outlook account the notification will flash, when I read the email on my desktop computer the notification will go away on it's own. That happens without ever touching the phone, turning the screen on, or swiping the notification bar. I witness this every work day, all day.

I havent been able to check to the forums thus havent been able to try your fix... but it was blinking for DAYS!! and then yesterday I checked my email and it just went away (Ive been checking many emails and messages before yesterday)... weird.

If it ever starts back up again ill try that notification bar thing.
