Notification Light Flashes for Limited Time?

Ive noticed if a get a message, the light will come on - however after some amount of time (if i do not check the phone) the notification light will stop - anyone else notice this and is there a fix?

I've noticed this too & I also want my notifications to blink A LOT longer

I haven't tested to see how long the indicator does flash, but it may only be for 10 minutes or so - this doesn't help if i don't even look at my phone for an hour - ill never know i have a message!

is there a way to fix it?

Mine does it as well. I assume it is part of the power management.

seriously - how can it be a good thing that notifications only flash for about 10 minutes?

As far as I know most HTC phones are this way. I believe there isn't a way to fix on stock rom.
