Notification light gone?

Coming from a Note 8 and my wife an S7 edge the notification light is no more? What a dumb thing to remove. We both love the ultras other than that. Any other alternatives?

Edge lighting is pretty good , other apps in play store but I haven't used, if samsung didn't implement it im wary if they can cause any issues, but I'm sure others will chime in .

You can get the camera flash or the screen to light up for notifications, the option is under settings/accessibility/advanced settings/Flash notification.

Camera flash doesn't seem like it would be a big help if you aren't facing your camera. I haven't found a way to make edge lighting last until I can clear the notification.

There are lots of posts about this very issue here on these forums. I too was miffed because the loss of the notification LED was a big deal coming from the Note 9 to the Note 10. I ended up getting an app called AOD notify which used the ring around the front camera cut out as a notification light.

Also there is an option for the phone to vibrate when you pick it up if there has been a missed call or message... Settings/advanced features/motions and gestures/smart alert

I saw that setting, but I prefer a visual notification that causes me pick up my phone.

I'm not so sure of that. They have the led ring around the selfie camera that AOD and the like use, so they could have used it for notifications too. Just does not make sense to me.

I came from a Note 9 to the Note 20 Ultra, so I'm also dealing with this. Trying AOD right now, since even EdgeLighting+ does not provide what I want. There are others out there too. Any feedback on other than AOD type apps?

I'd prefer a built in option for this, but it is what it is.
