Notification light?

New to Android and am interested in getting the Atrix.

Does the Atrix have a notification light that blinks when there's a missed call and/or text? And how about being able to choose a custom color for a contact?

It has a light yes but no where as close as nice as a Blackberry one.

As for custom colors I think that depends on the app on if you can set it. Some apps let you set the colors.

for the colors you can get an app from the market but i think you will hhave to root thhe phone

The app is called Light Flow and it doesn't require root to use it. The lite version is limited to certain apps, but they have a clear list of what's supported in the lite version.

Edit: Update it seems that most HTC phones do require root.
