Well, judging by your username there are a couple great sound board apps you can download. When you get the app, you find a sound you like and long press on it and it adds it to your notification sounds and then you select it.

I have to add that it's not flawless because a few rare times my phone went back to the default sound but overall it works great.

Personally I just download any mp3 sound bite or what not that I want as my notification sound right on my phone and then use Astro File Manager to move the file into the notification section and bingo its there for you to select next time you open the notification option

i have astro file manager, but it doesn't seem to work when i select my .mp3 files from ine folder and want to move them to the notification folder for more choices. how do you move files using astro? when i hit select/sellect all, and then copy and go to folder i want to move to, the paste option is grey, so i cannot click it. any help?

When you connect your bolt to your pc/mac and mount it as a drive, I place mp3 or similar files in the media/notification folder (i believe that's correct). Pretty simple.
You also MUST disconnect it before the phone can use the SD card again and is able to read and use the new notification.

On the SD card, plural: "media/notifications". Or, off the root of the phone's file system: "system/media/audio/notifications".
