Notification sounds about every 5 min.

[Android Central Question]

My notification tone goes off about every 5 min. Whether at work or home, standing, walking or just sitting on the table it always sits on. I've turned of notification for all but 1 app (local weather, no bad weather here). Checked mail & other apps & see no new notifications. I've turned off the NFC also. No luck. Only way it will stop is if I turn on Do Not Disturb. This just started 2 days ago for no apparent reason, i.e. I made absolutely no changes to my phone settings. This is driving me nuts!

Have you checked calendar events , things that would notify you?
Can also check in accesbilty for repeated notifications

Also, which phone do you have? Depending on your model and Android version there's an easy way to access the notification log and see which app is pushing those notifications.

OMG! Problem solved! I finally found someone in this forum that got me the answer I needed (this was before I was able to log in). I REALLY wish I could remember her user name 'cause I'd sure like to thank her! Apparently it was something new with the update. Think it was somewhere in Accessibility & Visibility, but now that I turned that feature off it's not there anymore. Thanks anyway!

Welcome to Android Central, and glad you figured it out! Was it the Notification Reminders option in the Accessibility menu?
