Notification sounds

I have my notification sound set to silent. But I'm still getting sounds for FB messenger and Yahoo. Any idea how to stop the sounds?

Search notification, go to FB messenger, toggle off.

You could also use Do Not Disturb.

Long press each of those apps and tap info then notifications turn off

Will that still allow notifications though? I want to be notified i just don't want to hear it. Thanks

When you tap notifications you can tap the sub menu there and turn off what u need
