AT&T Galaxy S8 Notification volume mutes when plugged in for charging

My daughter called last night to say her S8 updated to the new Android Pi. She says that when she plugs it in to charge her notification volume goes to zero.

Anyone else notice this? I moved to the S10+ and haven't had this issue.
