Notification Volume

I've had the maxx for about three weeks and I just noticed something yesterday. I work in a very noisy environment and for me to hear that I have received a text I need it loud. I usually hear them but I missed a few yesterday. I opened up the message app and went to change the alert tone. I selected a tone that was very loud then I sent myself a test text and even though it was loud, it wasn't as loud as when I previewed it before making it my tone. I did this with several different tones and they all play louder before I make them my text tone and receive a text. My volumes are all set to maximum. It's not a huge deal but I was wandering if I'm the only one with this issue?

Yes. My notification tones, namely text messaging, were not set to max volume although my phone's volume and media volume were set to high. I was going through ringtones and used my volume up button on the side of the phone and noticed that it could go even higher.

Always make sure the notification volume is set to max. For some reason that I cannot fathom yet, Motorola and Samsung insist on having them disconnected. I wrote a little app to easily adjust them both to the same setting since it was bothering me back on the RAZR. Linked Volume Control

Just downloaded.... Was exactly what I was looking for.. thanks

Averix... is your app working good on your maxx? It seems a bit buggy on mines, doesn't always move both volumes..

Haven't had any trouble with it Jason. No error reports or people complaining that I've seen. When does it not work? If you're using the physical buttons, it won't adjust both unless the app is open. Didn't want a babysitter running in the background to catch volume keys.
