I was reminded earlier of one of the reasons that I didn't like phones where the earpiece and loudspeaker are shared...
Sometimes I'll be putting the phone to my ear, or I'll already be on a call, and then an Unrelated notification tone such as an email or something will BLAST my ear drum out.... Not sure if the speaker gets confused, but it happens more often that I'd like to see....
Particularly, Whatsapp knows when you're listening to an audio message with your ear because the speakers automatically sense the proximity to your face.... So that's all good, and you'll be listening privately through the earpiece at the top of the phone and then all phone notifications still come through AT FULL VOLUME!
