Notifications from an app that isn't installed....

A couple of mornings ago, the Retailmenot app began displaying a notification, but I have not installed the app. Never even heard of it... I tapped on it this morning, and nothing launches. Could this somehow have been associated with a HTC or Google app? There's been a ton of Apps I haven't updated (probably at all this year) since I don't use them.

So my question is how do I get rid of this annoying notification?

I ran into another thread last night about Retailmenot. I don't know the device the OP is using.

Can you longpress the notification and bring up the app info screen? That should show the culprit app.
