Notifications not clearing

Am I missing a setting? I am using lightflow and finally got the led to light up, but now when I click on the notification it isn't clearing the Samsung notification. I even have it checked to clear both when clearing lightflow. Do I need the system notification on in order for the lightflow led to work?
