Notifications on App icons wont go away.

So i've been working on this issue for about about 2 weeks. One day my phone just started doing odd things with the little orange circles in the upper right hand corner of the app icons. At first they wouldn't go away but now sometimes they don't show up. I've done a factory reset but it didn't help, I've cleared the app caches on the affected apps(email, messages, facebook, instagram, facebook messanger) and it doesn't help. Other than this the phone works fine. Has anyone seen this or have any idea on how to fix it?

It sounds like you're using a third-party launcher and the notification indicators aren't working. If that's the case, try clearing the app cache for your launcher. This is likely a launcher issue because it's affecting multiple apps from different sources.
