I just did an OTA update on my LG G5 phone (Verizon) to Android 7. Now, anytime I get a notification, there is a box with Chinese text on the bottom.

This also happens every time I call the keyboard as well as seen in the screenshot. Anyone else seeing this issue or know of a fix? This is driving me nuts.

Welcome to the forums. It's possible that a third party app is sending those notifications. Do you have ES File Explorer installed in your phone? I remember reading about something similar a time ago. Also, do you have any cleaner or memory booster app installed? You could try booting into safe mode and see if you get the same messages.

I'll move your thread to the G5 forum for more visibility.

Thanks for the welcome!

I forgot to mention all searches suggested ES file explorer, however I don't have that installed. I haven't installed anything new recently and this just started happening immediately after the update.

It looks like an error message from an app that is not completely compatible with nougat. Check your running apps and see what apps are on that list. Do you get the same message on safe mode?

Thanks for the translation. The message does not appear in safe mode. Now I just have to find out which app it is.

Is there a way to disable apps, or will force closing work?

We can close this out. I found the suspect.... an app called AuraBox for an led speaker I have.

Great news! No need to close the thread, it will be very helpful for other members with a similar problem. Thanks for the follow up!
