Notifications with email client and multiple accounts

I've setup a second email account on my Note 3 and since doing so I am not getting any new email notifications. It is also not pushing the email to the client as quickly as it previously did. Is this a bug.

I have gmail and an exchange account running and dont see a delay. I use them both in the stock app to send updates to my galaxy gear.

Does anyone know how to change the color for an account? The exchange account has this ugly purple I dont like.

When you get email to your default account do you get a notification? When you get an email to your other account do you get notifications?
