I upgraded from the s10 to the s21. I love it so far. However when ever I receive a notification my phone lights up. I keep the always on display turned on. Is that why the phone lights up when I get a notification. Or is there a way to have the auto on display turned on and not have the phone light up when I get a notification? I also have the screen flash notification turned off.

I have AOD on and my phone never lights up with new notifications.

I see you are a new user here - welcome to Android Central!

By "light up", do you mean Edge Lighting or the lockscreen is initiated? If it's Edge Lighting, you can toggle that on or off in Settings.

I don't use snapchat, but stock samsung and google message app it doesn't happen on mine , you can try resetting those apps by clearing data then force stop it .
