Notifications

Alright, I give up. Is there a way to switch off notifications completely on the Galaxy Nexus? If there is, I can't find it.

Sort of. I finally figured out the "problem" that has been plaguing me the past few days with an alert sound that I have been getting every few minutes was solved as well. That was part of the reason I wanted to switch off all notifications. My main notification sound was going off every 10 or 15 seconds. What I didn't realize was that my 6 year old niece had been playing with my phone and specifically. She figured out how to use Light Flow. She didn't care for my selection of colors for indicator lights. She chose pink for pretty much everything but while she was in there started switching on the sounds for pretty much every flipping category.

So men, my suggestion, don't allow your nieces to look at your "pretty" phones and allow them to select "pretty" colors for your light.

LOL, I know. I didn't know she had done it until I got home earlier this morning and she told me.

Exactly. So for those who are having trouble figuring things out on ICS, bring in their six year olds, they'll figure it out. LOL

I was just getting ready to start deleting apps individually until my notification sound stopped. That's when my niece pops in and says, do you like the pretty pink light I gave you. I asked her to show me how she did it and when she opened up Light Flow, I saw the options for notifications and sounds in addition to customizing the light.

Yah, I wouldn't do too much better against her on the various wii games she likes to play.
