Hello. I have a p30pro after already having a p20pro. I'm actually a bit annoyed at some settings. When I get a snapchat, I get the notification But the snapchat icon doesn't have the red dot telling me how many snapchats I have.
When I change the settings from numbers to dots, it shows on the snapchat icon but then stops my text messages from showing I have any.
I'd rather have the red dot with the number notification so I changed it back. How do i fix this issue with my snapchat? It doesn't show up on the snapchat icon I have any and it's becoming frustrating as I should be able to have all apps functioning properly. Checked all my settings and all notifications are enabled.

Someone please help me.

The dot wont alert you the numer of messages only that you have a notification that's why it has option to switch numbers instead of dots .

Try clearing cache,data,force stop snap chat it will reset the app

Iv done it all. It was the same on the p20 Pro. It's the only app that does not show the red dot notification on the apps icon.

It's not a snapchat issue. It's a huawei issue. Works on every other phone except huawei.

It could be a snapchat issue with your Huawei phone

Yes ,you're right. Notification with numbers doesn't work properly on EMUI.
However, notification dots should work across the board properly. Make sure you have the same as my settings on the attached screens.

Doesn't work with all of them. For some reason when I have the 'dot' facility, I stop getting text message icon dots. It's as though I don't have a text. It's so frustrating
