Nougat! Finally

I'm on sprint, got my update today. Took me forever to figure out how to change fonts! Other than that loving the update! The phone is like new, so much faster! Yay! Settings menu is going to take some getting used to...
Ok, I'll miss my edge lighting... no more colors! Booo, boooo!

Welcome to the forums Denise, glad you like the new software! It takes a bit of getting used to and they still don't have dark themes grrrrr!
It does have many positives too...

I just got the Nougat update on Sprint also. Besides everything looking different and the phone feeling more snappy, what new features am I supposed to be excited about? Besides improvements to Doze, which should save some battery, all the other updates seem kinda meh.

I instantly put a theme and a font on it. The font was so small! It's still snappy though, nice... oh and it took me awhile to find "groups" in my contacts too. It's def got a learning curve, but... I like it. Going to enjoy our final update... next phone probably coming next year for me. Not the s8 but maybe the s9. I've been eligible for an upgrade but to be honest this phone is still great and works! Why bother to upgrade?

It seems my s6 edge drains lot of battery when standbying in nougat. Device idling is now on top of the battery usage chart besides the screen on usage. Anyone experiencing the same issue?

Yes, device idle is 2nd down for me. Interesting...
