Hi I was wondering if anyone could tell me who I get my os updates from . I have a contract with three uk but all their phones come unlocked and after spending some time researching it i understood that unlocked phones get their os updates straight from Samsung. So now I'm not sure whether I'll get my update from three or Samsung. I've also been considering downloading the android 7.0 update from sammobile and knowing this may help me to choose the correct firmware. By the way is that safe to do? thanks to anybody that can help.

Your carrier may still have some control in when the update gets released. I would use caution in flashing a ROM. Sometimes, flashing a ROM for a different carrier can possibly brick the phone.
