Nougat Version Shipping With the GS8?

Is version 7.1.1 shipping with the GS8? Or is it the same version on the GS7? Sorry for the question. Family issues and work have kept me out of the loop.

Thanks very much for your comments. Hopefully the newer version will be rolled out by the fall although with AT&T, it could be longer.

Out of the box it will come with Nougat 7.0. However we may be getting 7.1 soon.

Is Samsung testing Nougat 7.1 for Galaxy S8?

Hopefully for people buying the unlocked version they get it quickly. I hear the unlocked version doesn't even have 7.0 yet! Gotta wonder if Samsung did that on purpose to more people would just buy the s8.

I don't expect to see 7.1 until fall at the earliest. I have a feeling that the note 8 will be released with 7.1.1 or even 7.1.2... Samsung has to test it and that's gonna take a while. Once Samsung is done, than it's off to the carriers and who knows how long they're gonna take....

Samsung has a history of taking their sweet time with updates. I mean the S7 just recently got 7.0 while my axon 7 is already on 7.1.1... At least they're not LG who is even slower....

AT&T will probably be one of the last to roll out the latest version of Nougat.

As long as they have the beta program again, I'm good. After returning the Note7, it was great getting Nougat earlier on the S7E.
