I haven't really used the Nova Launcher for any length of time (tested it a number of times and always ended up going with the Microsoft Launcher), but it has been one of the better launchers (ever-adapting, reliable and trustworthy) for Android users and it is a shame that the apps future development may be in jeopardy.

Competition breeds innovation and helps keep the end user the focus of future development. Even though I haven't really used it, I know that the Nova app helped me have a better experience with my Microsoft Launcher (knowing Microsoft, they probably lifted a good share of Nova's ideas and improvements, anyway 😉). Anyway, I hope the Nova app sticks around and is able to continue to offer Android users a great launcher option.

I've always come back to Nova. It is/was feature rich and looked good, performed good.

I think this was bound to happen when (Kevin?) sold Nova. Updates stopped for a long time. Betas were hidden on the site and the link was broken to the PlayStore. Then we started getting updates but the last few felt like there was a push for an overhaul (not for the best with new features being on by default and hidden).

The launcher market is really stagnant and has been for the past few hears, at least for me in terms of tradional style launchers, not experimental basically relearn to use your phone type, plenty of those.

I'd hate to see them disolve completely or just fade into obscurity. They truly made something special.

Ironically I never really used Launchers but Nova kept coming up. And to my surprise I owned it already lol. Bought it when there was eithet a 0.10, 0.50 or 1.00 sale, can't remember, just because it was cheap.

Nova is what I've used ever since I've used Android starting with the OG Moto X. I've been using it less now that Samsung offers Good Lock. However, I still use Nova regularly from time to time. This is sad news. I have no idea what launcher I'll use if I get a device that isn't from Samsung. Stock Pixel is not at all appealing to me.

I guess I'm not too surprised. Haven't they been getting a lot of flak for their recent updates? I know that's why I've refused to update mine.

The only reason I have it is for some 3D effects when scrolling around (similar to the old Next 3D launcher if anyone remembers that). I hate the flat 2D stock launcher designs and I'm not a Nova loyalist, so I won't have much issue moving on if needed as long as I can find a good replacement for the scrolling animations in the home screen and app drawer.

Yeah but if he keeps it alive I'm alright maybe give it a chance in the future someone else buys it and is dedicated to that launcher
I'm using it now. LOL. I switch back and forth regularly.

I like Samsung OneUI, but I don't know what I'd use if I got a different brand and Nova is gone. I found stock Android boring when I had Moto and Nexus.
