Nova Launcher - can't restore backup

I gave myself a 6p for Christmas, coming from a Droid Maxx. Very happy so far, but I have one frustration. When I try to restore my Nova Launcher backup, I get a "not a valid backup file" message. Yikes, I don't want to have to recreate my whole NL setup. Any suggestions?

I had this happen to me, I made another backup from my old phone and used Google Drive to get it to my 6p all was good on second attempt.

Thanks! That did the trick to use Google Drive for the backup rather than Dropbox. Now I just have to decide whether I want to keep using NL or go with the stock experience, which I was starting to get used to. Anyway, thanks again!

I just did a back restore that was from my LG g4 to my 6p using a file from one drive and it worked fine.
