Nova Launcher - Causing excessive battery usage?

Has anyone else noticed Nova Launcher causing excessive battery usage? Or perhaps it is the Nova notification product? I was getting great battery lifted (typically charge every 48 hours or so) and then I installed Nova after I saw all the people's home screens online. I then went to having to charge every 18-24 hours. Anyway, I uninstalled the Nova Launcher and went back to stock Samsung and my battery life is back to awesome again... looking to be 48 hours before I have to charge again for a second time in a row since uninstalling. Of course I also uninstalled some other junk apps I never used so I can't say for certain Nova is the culprit, but curious if anyone else has seen this. I'm newer to Android so just not sure.

If you have an add on installed that could be the problem Nova runs pretty good and is light on battery use.

I haven't noticed any battery change using Nova Launcher though I don't have the paid version.

I have the paid version and I get about 25-30 hours with 4-5 hours screen-on time.
