Nova Launcher icon pack icon size discrepancy

Hey there people! Nova Launcher does everything I can think of. It has, at least. Since a few weeks back I have been having trouble matching icon sizes. The problem arose after I had to load a 2 year old backup file, since Nova threw out all custom settings with the installment of the latest update. *sigh* Anyway, the first pic shows how it looked until that point in time. This is what my goal is! The second one shows my UX9 icons applied but with "Reshape legacy icons" "off". Howerver, the third shows all icons in the same size but some are different in looks, like the Chrome App, with "Reshape legacy icons" "always on". In my opinion they do look different in general to the ones I had originally. This may not seem like a big issue, however I very much enjoy having everything be and look the way I set it up initially - without any weird white frames. If anyone has any suggestions other than "Restart/Kill and restart Nova" because I already did that multiple times? And someone who has an answer to why the Samsung pack (Ux9 Icon Pack) icons show so much bigger than the normalized ones - which I'm todally fine with - and how to counteract this. Or rather why Nova chooses to frame the icon in white and seems unable to ajust it to the right size and shape like in (Pic 1) would be much appreciated! Thank you in advance!

Edit: I operate a Huawei Mate 20, I forgot to mention!

Pretty sure you need to set the icon shape to "Default", which will be the Samsung default if you're on a Samsung (don't know what that is on any other phone).

And "Reshape legacy icons", which adds the backgrounds to older style. The default Samsung One UI launcher, Home UI, would normally do that anyway.

Appreciate the prompt response! I'm sad to say, my default setting resorts to the Huawei Home default witch is similar to the 'rounded square'. So...that's where I am at now...

Ah, I didn't catch which phone you had when I posted.

The "squircle" option is close to Samsung's shape, but not exact.

Yes, that's correct. But I'm still asking myself, what settings I have to manipulate in order to chill the Samsung Icons down to a normal size/make Nova cut them like it did before. Cheers!

Long press the icons that didn't change and then tap edit options from there tap the icon again to select it's theme
